Ronald C Filer Jr was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, where he was taught a strong work ethic by his parents during his early years. Following the downturn of the steel industry in the 1980s, his family relocated to Madeira Beach, Florida. At this time, Ron embarked on his academic journey at Pensacola Christian College. After college, Ron worked for Kinney Shoe Corporation, a division of Woolworth Company. It was during this time that he began cultivating his talent for fostering client relationships and effective communication, which would become invaluable skills in his professional journey.
Ron’s career path took a significant turn when he shifted into the energy sector, specifically oil and gas, where he has dedicated over two decades of his life. It was during this time that he honed his expertise and passion for the industry. His pivotal moment came when Alan founded Hornet Corporation 16 years ago. Recognizing Alan’s vision and the company’s commitment to ethical growth, Ron joined forces,
becoming an integral part of the team. Throughout his tenure at Hornet Corporation, Ron has remained steadfast in upholding moral and ethical values, guiding the company through constant growth and success.
With energy poised to play a crucial role in the years to come, Ron is excited about the future of the industry and Hornet Corporation’s role within it.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ron enjoys time with his wife and family. He is a proud father to 8 children ranging from adults to twin girls. He is also excited about his 3 new grandchildren. He takes pride in instilling the same values of hard work, integrity, and dedication in his children, ensuring a legacy of excellence.
